Gloria came to ArtLab Dentistry after being referred by her surgeon in San Diego. They had already placed her dental implants and were having difficulty finishing her treatment.
Gloria was wearing partial dentures and provisional restorations that were uncomfortable for her. She had already been on a long journey across two continents seeking treatment for her dental needs. However, it seems that despite receiving more and more dental treatment, her condition was worsening.

After a thorough consultation here at ArtLab Dentistry with Dr. Reshad, followed by a detailed treatment and conference appointment, Gloria was ready to start. We were able to complete her treatment in 3 to 4 months, despite the unusual presentation.
Gloria required almost a full mouth reconstruction. Her bite was collapsed, and the real challenge with her treatment was that her occlusion “bite” was unconventional. Her jaws moved into very unusual positions, causing provisional restorations to fracture, as well as causing much jaw pain. This complication required the expertise of a prosthodontist. The years of training in the management of bite and jaw joint dysfunction enabled Dr. Reshad to find the perfect occlusal scheme to stabilize the unusual jaw movements and to relieve all of the jaw pain that Gloria had been experiencing for many years.

With the aid of CAD CAM technology we have advanced techniques where every micro detail regarding the occlusion can be copied into the finals. We test all aspects of treatment with provisional restorations that are identical to the final restorations. So, when the final restorations are delivered we are confident that our patients are fully satisfied, comfortable and happy with their result.
